Return From Hiatus

I can’t believe it’s been almost two YEARS since you’ve all last heard from me. There’s been a lot going on that I’ll get into a little, but the exciting part is that Second Sight will be returning in April 2022, and I’m working on something new!

When we suddenly went radio silent after our last update in October 2020, a lot of things were happening. The American presidential election was a month away, the pandemic was building momentum with no vaccine in sight, so many of us were dealing with the effects of sudden and long-term isolation while in quarantine or working from home…I’ve dealt with anxiety and depression since I was a teenager, but as my 30th birthday was approaching both were worse than they’d ever been. I was diagnosed with ADHD. I dyed my hair green and have been called a Disney Princess by multiple children – I love it. I came out to my parents at long last and it went okay! My first pride parade came and went, a did all I could to support the Black Lives Matter movement but too afraid of the pandemic to go to a protest in person. I had my closest relationship lasting 10 years fall apart without any sort of closure. I lost my will to create and interact with the world outside my immediate circle. My darling 14-year-old cat had passed. Family members had major surgery with one developing a potentially life-threatening infection. I moved and had my living expenses triple. I started a new creative venture and made grand plans for my stories and art, which I couldn’t begin until I felt like I had enough control over my life to actually make progress. But I’m there, finally. Or…you know, close enough to try

It’s so good to see you all again, and for those of you who are still here…thank you so much for your patience. Love you guys.
